EU Road Trip - July 2008

At the airport in Wien (Vienna), Austria. Long drive this morning from Cluj, Romania. Left the hotel around 4a, arrived here at 2p. Old habits die hard, we usually make a long drive around July 4th to New Mexico. For sure, would rather be watching the fireworks over Eagle Nest Lake than sitting at the airport! No complaints, it has been a Great two weeks in EU.
I have an early evening flight to Beijing, will arrive around noon tomorrow. Hope to get some sleep on the plane?!?!?



Peugeot 308 diesel, this was my rental. Great little car! Very solid handling, excellent gas mileage and was surprised with amount of get up and go! You could not tell you were driving a diesel. Need more cars like this in the USA!
Brought a smile to my face when I spotted this Corvette in the hotel parking garage. I also passed a mint 66 Mustang on the freeway in Hungary. US autos are loved the world over!
Check out the size of this bird nest!! In it were the parents and 3 chicks.
Windmill Farm. These dot the landscape all over Europe. Hundreds of them on the border between Austria and Hungary. Is this part of the solution for the USA?mike
